VIENNA - Turkey and Austria signed an agreement to prevent double taxation on Friday.
Turkish Finance Minister Kemal Unakitan and Austrian Minister for Finance Wilhelm Molterer put their signatures under the agreement in Austrian capital of Vienna. The agreement aims to make Turkey and Austria more attractive for investors from the two countries.
"Turkey is a very important partner for us," Molterer said after the signature ceremony.
Molterer said two countries aim to enhance commercial and economic relations, and the new agreement envisages simplifications for investors.
On the other hand, Unakitan said Turkey and Austria have to boost their commercial ties and called on Austrian investors to invest in Turkey.

-WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY OTHER OPTION THAN FULL MEMBERSHIP-
Speaking to Turkish reporters, Unakitan said he discussed with Molterer Turkey-EU relations.
"I have told my Austrian counterpart that Turkey will not accept any other option than full membership," he told.
Unakitan said the EU should not apply double standards regarding membership.
"During our meeting, I got the impression that Austria is at the stage of making a preference between privileged partnership and full membership regarding Turkey`s status," he told.
Unakitan will meet Turkish businessmen residing in Austria at the Turkish Embassy in Vienna on Friday evening.
Finance Minister Unakitan is expected to return to Turkey on Saturday.
