Nami And Iacovou Meet At Ledra Palace

LEFKOSA - Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Mehmet Ali Talat`s Special Representative for EU & UN talks Ozdil Nami and Greek Cypriot Administration Commissioner George Iacovou met at Ledra Palace on Friday within the scope of the new process which started after "March 21st Agreement".
On March 21st, Talat and Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias met and agreed to set up working groups and technical committees which will work for three months for comprehensive negotiations between TRNC and Greek Cypriot administration; and then the two leaders will meet again.
Nami and Iacovou began to set the schedule of working groups and technical committees. They will hold another meeting on Monday.
They earlier decided to set up six working groups and seven technical committees.
Working groups will focus on substantial issues relating to Cyprus issue, while technical committees will work on daily matters between the two societies.
