ISTANBUL - A passenger plane of Lufthansa Airways --coming from German city of Munich to Turkish capital of Ankara-- made an emergency landing at Istanbul`s International Ataturk Airport on Friday.
Sources told A.A correspondent that Airbus A320-type plane which took off from Munich with 72 passengers could not land at Ankara`s International Esenboga Airport due to adverse wind.
The plane made an emergency landing at Ataturk Airport with the concern that it may run out of fuel.
Lufthansa officials said that the plane landed at the Ataturk Airport, and it will fly to Ankara after refuelling.
