Parliament Speaker Toptan Receives Representatives Of Ngos

ANKARA - Turkish Parliament Speaker Koksal Toptan received Rifat Hisarciklioglu, the chairman of the Union of Chambers & Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), and representatives of non-governmental organizations in Ankara on Friday.
Following the meeting, Toptan and Hisarciklioglu held a joint press conference.
Hisarciklioglu said that they presented their statement on common sense to Toptan.
On the other hand, Toptan said that he attaches importance to the will for a joint stance which was put forth by NGOs against worrying developments in Turkey recently.
Gathering in Turkish metropolis of Istanbul on Wednesday, chairmen of TOBB, Turkish Confederation of Public Laborers` Unions (Kamu-Sen), Turkish Confederation of Labor Unions (Turk-Is), Turkish Confederation of Tradesmen`s & Craftsmen`s Unions (TESK), Turkish Confederation of Employers` Unions (TISK), Turkish Agricultural Chambers` Union (TZOB) and Moral Rights Workers` Union (Hak-Is) had released a joint statement calling for common sense in Turkey.
