ISTANBUL - Ersin Ozince, the DG of Turkey`s Is Bankasi, said Friday the bank forecasts 15 percent rise in its assets in 2008.
"We will raise the number of our branches over 1,000 in 2008," he told a press conference in Turkish commercial hub of Istanbul.
Ozince said he sees 20 percent rise in credits and 16 percent rise in deposits in this year.
On foreign interest in Turkey, Ozince said Turkey is a country of opportunities despite political and economic risks.
"Therefore, investors continue to be interested in certain areas in Turkey. Particularly there is significant potential and capacity in services industry," he told.
On the other hand, Ozince said Turkey, Turkish citizens and companies will be less affected if every one does his/her duty perfectly.
"Naturally, political uncertainty can have an impact, but Turkey will be less affected and macro-economic acquisitions will not be lost if we do our jobs perfectly," he also said.
