NEW JERSEY - Turkish Police Department marked the 163rd anniversary of its foundation in New Jersey state of the United States.
"Peace Protection Summit" was organized by Turkish Police Department and Rutgers University with the contributions of Turkey`s Permanent Representation to the UN in New Jersey.
Mehmet Samsar, Turkey`s Consul General in New York, hosted a reception on the occasion of the 163rd anniversary of Turkish Police Department.
Speaking at the reception, Samsar said, "Turkish police conducted very successful missions in Turkey and throughout the world. Turkey actively took place in operations conducted by international organizations aiming to protect peace."
On the other hand, Rutgers University Justice School Dean Adam Graycar said an excellent relationship has been established between Turkey and the United States through Turkish police.
Catherine Rompato from the UN Police Department, in an exclusive interview with the A.A correspondent, stated that she got acquainted with many Turkish security officers working in peace forces operations of the UN. "All of them, without any exception, were well trained, brilliant and benevolent," she noted.
