Izmir And Milan Accelerate Promotion Activities For Expo 2015

PARIS - Izmir and Milan, the two candidates to host EXPO 2015 fair, accelerated activities in Paris to promote cultures of Turkey and Italy.
Izmir and Milan are in a bid to attract the members of the Bureau of International Exhibitions (BIE) who would chose either Izmir or Italian city Milan to host EXPO 2015 on March 31st, 2008.
Turkish pianist and composer Fazil Say gave a concert in Paris to extend support to Turkish western province of Izmir`s candidacy whereas Milan brought renowned Scala chamber orchestra to give concert to the BIE members.
Anatolian Fire dance group performed and Sertab Erener gave concert last week in a bid to support Izmir`s candidacy.
Izmir`s theme for EXPO 2015 is "Health For All". If Izmir hosts the event, more than 50 million tourists are expected to visit.
EXPO 2015 is the next scheduled World`s Fair after EXPO 2012.
