ADANA - French Ambassador to Ankara Bernard Emie said that relations between Turkey and France are very old and deep-rooted, adding that even if there are ups and downs, currently, the relations are good.
Emie met Governor Ilhan Atis of Adana on Thursday.
Emie told reporters that France is an important political partner of Turkey, adding that meetings between the two country are underway intensively.
Noting that France is the fifth biggest economic partner of Turkey, Emie said that bilateral trade volume is around 10 billion Euro.
He added that France is also the third country which is mostly preferred by Turkish students.
Emie said that a "Turkish Season" will be organized in France between July 2009 and July 2010.
