ANKARA - Turkish Eximbank Director General Ahmet Kilicoglu said Thursday Eximbank raised a syndicated loan of 250 million Euro (390 million USD).
Kilicoglu said an agreement was signed on Thursday in London regarding the loan which was organized by a consortium of ABN AMRO Bank N.V., Akbank International N.V., ABC International Bank plc, The Arab Investment Company S.A.A., The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd, Barclays Capital, Bayerische Landesbank, Burgan Bank, Citibank, Rabobank, Depfa Bank plc., Doha Bank, DZ Bank, Dexia, Gulf International Bank, HSH Nordbank AG, ING Bank N.V, Intesa Sunpaolo S.P.A, Kommunalkredit International Bank Limited, National Bank of Greece, Natixis and Standard Chartered.
He noted that last year`s loan amount --which was 225 million Euro-- was revised as 250 million Euro this year.
Kilicoglu said Turkish Eximbank targets to provide 10.6 billion USD of financial support (5 billion USD loan and 5.6 billion USD insurance and guarantee) for the exporters in 2008.
He added that Turkish Eximbank has started talks to provide fund from World Bank and European Investment Bank.
