ANKARA - Israeli Ambassador to Turkey Pinhas Avivi said on Thursday that a decision would be made till the end of August about transportation of water of Manavgat Stream.
Avivi attended a meeting of Israeli First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Communications, Labor, Industry and Trade Ehud Olmert, who is currently paying an official visit to Turkey.
Upon a question of reporters, Avivi said that they attributed great importance to the Manavgat Project envisaging transportation of water from Turkey to Israel.
Noting that Turkish and Israeli companies could jointly conduct the project, Avivi said that some U.S., British, German and Polish companies were also interested in the project.
He added that they would prefer the company offering the most appropriate bid.
