THE HAGUE - Turkish Foreign Minister & Chief Negotiator for the EU talks Ali Babacan on Wednesday addressed Dutch Industrialists & Businessmen Association.
Delivering a speech at a conference on "Turkey's Political, Economic & Political Reform Process," Babacan said Turkey continued to fulfill reforms in its EU process, and it was determined to progress on this process without making concessions.
Babacan said Turkey entered a stable course with respect to macro economic balances particularly after 2002, and continued its economic growth despite some negative developments.
FM Babacan indicated that Turkey presented important opportunities to foreign entrepreneurs in economic sense.
Responding to the questions of Dutch industrialists and businessmen on economy and politics, Babacan said the government made a decision to amend Article 301 of the Turkish Penal Code (TCK), however implementing this was a question of timing.
Babacan later met representatives of Turkish organizations in the Netherlands.
Babacan's talks will continue on Thursday.
