Turkey Wins Best Country Stand Award In 15th Mitt Moscow Tourism Fair

ISTANBUL - Turkey won the best country stand award in the 15th MITT Tourism Fair which took place in Moscow between March 19th and 22nd.
Touristic Hotels & Investors Association of Turkey (TUROB) stated on Wednesday that more than 3,000 companies from 120 countries participated in the fair which is considered as the fourth most important tourism fair of Europe. Nearly 80,000 people visited this year`s fair.
Turkey which attended the fair as "partner country" had 1,254 square meters of stand; and it received the award of best country stand with the promotion it made.
TUROB also stated that 1.8 million Russian tourists visited Turkey in 2006, 2.4 million in 2007 and 47,676 since the beginning of 2008.
