Greek Minister Georgios Voulgarakis Visits Aghios Gheorghios Church

ISTANBUL (CIHAN) - Greek Minister of Public Order Georgios Voulgarakis visited the Aghios Gheorghios Church this morning.
Voulgarakis who met with Greek Orthodox Patriarch Barthelemeos, expressed his pleasure with Turkey and stated: "We have discussed collaboration and security matters with Turkish Interior Affairs Minister Abdulkadir Aksu. We also discussed security for the 2004 Olympic Games". Voulgarakis, who is known to have a long friendship with Patriarch Barthelemeos, noted that they touched upon problems which were important to the patriarchate.
Patriarch Barthelemeos reportedly declared that the recent visits of the Greek Prime Minister and the various governement ministers, demonstrated the Greek nation`s devotion to the church.
