Tehran Informs Ankara On Clashes Between Iranian Security Forces And Members Of PKK/Kongra-Gel

ANKARA - Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesman Namik Tan said on Wednesday that Tehran informed Ankara on recent clashes between Iranian security forces and members of the terrorist organization of PKK/Kongra-Gel.
Speaking at a weekly news conference, Tan said, ``Iranian officials informed us on the clashes. They told us that clashes erupted when members of the PKK/Kongra-Gel attempted to cross the border illegally.``
Earlier, Tan said that they expected Iranian officials to give detailed information about the clashes during the meeting of Turkey-Iran Joint Security Commission.
