ISTANBUL - Syrian Prime Minister Muhammad Naji al-Utri said on Wednesday that they were insistent on exerting efforts for further improvement of economic relations between Turkey and Syria.
Turkish-Syrian Business Council hosted a working lunch in honor of al-Utri in Istanbul.
Al-Utri stressed that Turkish and Syrian peoples had many common points, saying that there were joint cultural ties between the two countries.
They wanted to bring bilateral economic relations to the level of developed political relations between the two countries, al-Utri noted.
Stressing that they aimed to work more for the cooperation between Turkey and Syria, al-Utri said that the two countries had common threats and difficulties. Syrian Prime Minister noted that he considered that threats and difficulties would be overcome by common will between the two peoples.
Al-Utri called on Turkish investors to make good use of investment opportunities in Syria.
