ANKARA - Turkish parliament earlier on Wednesday empowered the Supreme Court to prosecute former two Energy and Natural Resources Ministers Cumhur Ersumer and Zeki Cakan on charges of corruption in tenders.
Ersumer will be tried in the Supreme Court on charges of signing contracts against Turkey, corrupting in tenders, causing public loss due to wrong and improper energy policies, and misusing his authority.
The parliament decided to send the case against Cakan to the Supreme Court on charges of causing public loss due to wrong and improper energy policies and misusing his authority.
