SARAJEVO - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Tuesday terrorist organization PKK was the common enemy of Turkey, USA and Iraq.
Erdogan, who is currently in Bosnian capital of Sarajevo, met Bosnian Premier Nikola Spiric.
Following Erdogan's tete-a-tete meeting with Spiric and bilateral talks between Turkish and Bosnian delegations, the two leaders held a joint press conference.
Replying to questions on his recent meeting with U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney in Ankara, Erdogan said, "regarding the north of Iraq, I have seen during my meeting with Mr. Cheney the same determination which I had seen at my meeting with President Bush on November 5th, 2007."
"Terrorist organization PKK is the common enemy of Turkey, USA and Iraq. This fact is confirmed. Our joint fight, and particularly the sharing of intelligence, will continue from now on, just like the way we have been conducting it so far," Erdogan said.
Erdogan also said operations would continue in a coordinated way, if necessary.
"The instruments of the fight against terrorism are and will be used when the time comes," he added.
Upon a question on whether the number of Turkish troops deployed in Afghanistan would be increased, Erdogan said Cheney did not demand any increase in the number of Turkish soldiers in that country.
