ISTANBUL (CÝHAN) - Besiktas Sport Club has finalized the transfer of Norwegian hit man John Carew on Monday.
The 25-year-old Norwegian striker will sign a three-year contract with the Black Eagles. Besiktas has an option to extend the contract one more year. Besiktas will pay a € 3.5 million transfer fee to the Spanish team Valencia.
John Carew, who played for Italian Roma on loan last year, will receive 1.6 million euros annual wage.
The Norwegian prolific striker will arrive in Istanbul today and will sign the official contract tomorrow. He will join the team which now holding training camp in Austria.
In spite of other lucrative offers, Carew reportedly preferred to join Besiktas to play under coach Vicente Del Bosque.
