ANKARA - Turkish security forces arrested 112 illegal migrants in Aegean province of Aydin, eastern provinces of Mus and Van, northwestern province of Edirne, and metropolis of Istanbul on Monday.
Acting on a tip-off, gendarmery forces detained 19 illegal migrants in Aydin's Soke town and caught two Turks on charges of illicit human trafficking.
Gendarmery forces took into custody six illegal migrants in Mus' Haskoy village, 51 others in Edirne's Kemalkoy, Bosnakoy, Ipsala and Enez towns.
The forces arrested 13 illegal migrants in Van's Gevas town, whereas they intercepted 23 others in Istanbul.
The illegal migrants were of Palestinian, Somali, Malaysian, Iranian, Georgian, Algerian, Chinese, Ecuadoran, and Pakistani origin. They will be deported once legal proceedings are completed.
