BAGHDAD - Murat Ozcelik, Turkey`s special representative to Iraq, had a meeting with Iraqi Vice President Adil Abd al-Mahdi in Iraqi capital of Baghdad on Monday.
During the meeting, al-Mahdi underlined importance of enhancement of bilateral relations on the basis of sovereignty, and respect to national independence and territorial integrity.
Al-Mahdi also said Turkey and Iraq should be in coordination to solve their problems through dialogue and peaceful means.
On the other hand, Ozcelik reaffirmed Turkey`s support to Iraqi government and said two countries made remarkable progress in bilateral relations.
Ozcelik will stay in Iraq for a few more days to hold talks with Iraqi authorities.
