Turkey Has Political Will To Improve Relations With Turkmenistan, Gul

ANKARA - Turkish President Abdullah Gul said Monday Turkey has the political will to further improve relations with Turkmenistan.
"This visit will contribute to enhancement of cooperation between the two countries on the basis of mutual interests and respect," Gul said during the dinner he hosted in honor of his Turkmen counterpart Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow in Turkish capital of Ankara.
Gul said Turkish businessmen, engineers and educationists will contribute to new development attempt of Turkmenistan as they have done so far.
"We are grateful for Turkmenistan`s support for Turkey in international organizations, and I believe this support will continue within the framework of summit of heads of state of Turkish Speaking Countries -- a linguistic unity, the most fundamental factor uniting Turkic world," he told.
Gul said Turkey will also continue to support Turkmenistan in every area, and share its experiences.
On the other hand, Berdimuhamedow said he believes friendship and brotherhood between Turkey and Turkmenistan will further improve.
"We will exert required efforts for this," he told.
Earlier Monday, Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan hosted a luncheon in honor of Berdimuhamedow.
Berdimuhamedow was also scheduled to meet Turkish Parliament Speaker Koksal Toptan in the afternoon, however this meeting was postponed.
