Turkish & Greek Cypriot Envoys Make Progress On Working Groups

LEFKOSA - Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot envoys made progress on working groups and technical committees to be set up between the two sides to pave the way for a comprehensive settlement.
Ozdil Nami, the special representative of President Mehmet Ali Talat of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) for EU and UN talks, and Greek Cypriot administration commissioner George Iacovou met at the residence of UN Secretary General`s special representative for Cyprus Michael Moeller in the buffer zone on Monday.
During their meeting, the two representatives discussed working groups and technical committees.
"The meeting was very positive, there was progress," Hasan Ercakica, the spokesman of TRNC Presidential Office, said after the meeting.
Ercakica also said Nami and Iacovou will come together again on Wednesday.
