Sending Soldiers To Afghanistan Is State Policy, Buyukanit

ANKARA - Turkish General Staff Chief Gen. Yasar Buyukanit said Monday sending Turkish troops to Afghanistan was not the policy of Turkish Armed Forces (TSK), but it was a state policy.
Buyukanit attended a reception held on the occasion of Pakistan`s National Day at Ankara`s Swissotel.
Upon a question on the dispatch of Turkish troops to Afghanistan, Buyukanit said, "this is not the policy of Turkish Armed Forces, this is a state policy. I will only say that".
