Representatives Of Cypriot Leaders Meet

LEFKOSA - Ozdil Nami, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Mehmet Ali Talat`s Special Representative for EU and UN talks, and Greek Cypriot administration commissioner George Iacovou met at the residence of UN Secretary General`s special representative for Cyprus Michael Moeller in the buffer zone on Monday.
Nami-Iacovou meeting is taking place after Talat and Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias agreed on Friday, March 21st to resume negotiations.
Nami and Iacovou will try to determine the number of working groups and technical committees to be established and the areas of responsibilities of these groups and committees. The two representatives will handle the matter of how the new process will continue.
The working groups are expected to lay the foundation for future meetings while the technical committees will focus on daily problems of both Turkish and Greek Cypriots.
