ANKARA - Turkish President Abdullah Gul formally welcomed Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow, President of Turkmenistan, at Cankaya Presidential Palace in Ankara on Monday.
Following the full military honors, a tete-a-tete meeting between Gul and Berdimuhamedow has begun.
Turkish Deputy Parliament Speaker Nevzat Pakdil, state ministers Mehmet Aydin and Kursad Tuzmen, Foreign Minister Ali Babacan, Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim, National Education Minister Huseyin Celik, Industry & Trade Minister Zafer Caglayan, Agriculture & Rural Affairs Minister Mehdi Eker and Energy & Natural Resources Minister Hilmi Guler also attended the welcoming ceremony.
Gul and Berdimuhamedow will also co-chair meetings between Turkish and Turkmen delegations and then they will hold a joint press conference.
Berdimuhamedow will have meetings also with Turkish Parliament Speaker Koksal Toptan and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
