Ergenekon Investigation

-PROF. ALEMDAROGLU RELEASED

ISTANBUL - Istanbul University`s former rector Prof. Kemal Alemdaroglu who was taken into custody within the scope of "Ergenekon investigation" was released early on Monday.
Prof. Alemdaroglu was earlier transferred to court within the scope of an investigation regarding "Ergenekon terrorist organization" which was revealed after police had seized hand grenades and explosives in a house in Istanbul in 2007.
Meanwhile, Prof. Alemdaroglu was banned to leave the country in line with Article 109 of the Criminal Procedures Law.
