ANKARA - The Turkish Parliamentary General Assembly decided on trial of former Turkish Prime Minister Mesut Yilmaz and former Turkish State Minister Gunes Taner by the High Tribunal on charges of corruption in tender for sale of Turkbank.
Following general assembly discussions, the Parliamentary Investigation Commission's decision on transfer of Yilmaz and Taner to the High Tribunal on charges of fraud was put to vote.
In the vote, the decision of the commission was approved by 429 against 15 votes while three deputies cast abstaining vote.
