STUTTGART - Turkish Industry and Trade Minister Ali Coskun said on Tuesday he believed Turkey would sit at membership negotiation table with the European Union (EU) on December 4.
Coskun opened Turkish-German Business Center in Stuttgart state of Germany.
Turkey's Consul General in Stuttgart Ahmet Funda Tezok, Turkey's Consul General in Karlsruhe Erdogan Kok, German Ministry of Labor and Economy Undersecretary Rezzo Chlauch and Stuttgart Mayor Michael Foll attended the opening.
Speaking at the opening, Coskun said that there was not any problem related to Turkey's Copenhagen criteria. ''I believe Turkey would sit at the negotiation table on December 4.''
Thanking Germany for its support to Turkey's EU membership, Coskun said, ''civil organizations play important role in enhancement of our bilateral relations. I want to thank everybody who have contributed to opening of this center. Our bilateral relations could not have reached this higher level if also the German authorities had not shown interest in this matter.''
Coskun is expected to depart from Stuttgart for Istanbul later in the day.
