Romania And Turkey Will Enhance Cooperation In Tourism

NEVSEHIR - Nicolae Vacaroiu, the President of the Romanian Senate, said on Tuesday that Romania and Turkey would enhance cooperation in tourism.
Vacaroiu, who is paying a visit to Turkey as the official guest of Turkish Parliament Speaker Bulent Arinc, arrived in central Cappadocia region to visit historical and touristic places in the region.
Nicolae Vacaroiu told reporters that he and Turkish officials agreed to further improve all relations particularly economic relations during their yesterday's meetings.
Turkey was the first economic partner of Romania in the Balkans, Vacaroiu said.
Vacaroiu added that he would be pleased if Romanian people visited Cappadocia, one of the important touristic sites in Turkey.
Cappadocia region shows a spectacular and surprisingly different landscape with its wind and water eroded volcanic tuff based soil. There are thousands of natural, pyramid shaped rock formations and cave-like settlement places carved by humans since the early ages throughout the region.
