NEVSEHIR - Taiwan`s Representative in Ankara Kuo Hsing Liu said on Sunday that number of Taiwanese tourists will rise to 100,000 in case direct flights begin between Turkey and Taiwan.
Kuo Hsing Liu and an accompanying delegation paid a visit to Nevsehir Governor Mehmet Asim Hacimustafaoglu.
Hacimustafaoglu said, "nearly 2 million tourists visit Cappadocia annually. This constitutes 8 percent of the tourists visiting Turkey. Tourism Ministry exerts efforts to publicize Cappadocia more."
On the other hand, Taiwanese Representative Kuo Hsing Liu said around 10,000 Taiwanese tourists visited Turkey, indicating that this figure was not much.
"Nevsehir and Cappadocia region are worldwide known," he noted.
