Northern Cyprus Parliament Speaker Ekenoglu Receives Gokcek

LEFKOSA - Fatma Ekenoglu, Speaker of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Parliament, received Saturday Ankara Mayor Melih Gokcek and an accompanying delegation in Lefkosa.
Speaking at the meeting with Gokcek, Ekenoglu indicated that TRNC is pleased with relations among the municipalities of TRNC and Turkey.
"Lefkosa has a problem in transportation and infrastructure. We have defined Ankara as a model city for Lefkosa and want to have a more planned city," Ekenoglu stressed.
On the other hand, Gokcek said that relations among Ankara and Lefkosa are being taken to higher levels every year.
"We will organize `Cyprus` days in Ankara," Gokcek also said.
Gokcek, deputies from Ankara and members of the Ankara Municipality Assembly are in Lefkosa as part of the "Ankara Days" activities.
