Turkish Central Bank Puts Unemployment Rate At 9.9 Percent For 2007

ANKARA - Turkish Central Bank said Friday that the average unemployment rate for 2007 was 9.9 percent.
The bank also said the method used to calculate the unemployment rate in Turkey was the same with the one used in the U.S.
The figure was cited in a report prepared by experts of the bank and announced under a seminar co-hosted by the bank and the Turkish Industrialists` and Businessmen`s Association (TUSIAD).
