IP Chairman Perincek Brought To Istanbul Police Department

ISTANBUL - Workers` Party (IP) Chairman Dogu Perincek who was taken into custody in Ankara was brought to Istanbul Police Department on Friday.
Ankara police took Perincek into custody early in the day within the scope of "Operation Ergenekon".
"Ergenekon terrorist organization" was revealed after police seized hand grenades, TNT explosives and fuses in a house in Istanbul on June 12th, 2007. A total of 39 people have been arrested under the investigation.
