MOSCOW/ANTALYA - Vsevolod Bogdanov, the president of Russian Union of Journalists, said Friday they want to organize Russian journalists` festival in Mediterranean province of Antalya.
The festival is held in Russian resort city of Sochi every year with participation of thousands of journalists.
"Russian tourists will not only spend holiday but also enjoy their festival in Antalya," Bogdanov told Mevlut Yeni, chairman of Antalya Journalists` Association (AGC) who paid a courtesy visit to him in Moscow.
Bogdanov said Antalya is among the well-known holiday resorts in their country and they will organize a contest during the Antalya festival in which they will ask the participants to tell about their vacation in Antalya.
"We will then award those who narrate their Antalya holiday in the best way," he told.
On the other hand, Yeni said more than 2.5 million Russian tourists visited Turkey, particularly Antalya, last year.
Yeni said journalists from Russia and Antalya should cooperate in promotion of Turkey and their city, and invited Bogdanov to Antalya.
