ANTALYA - Lithuanian Ambassador to Turkey Darius Pranckevicius said Thursday his government supports Turkey`s EU membership bid.
"Turkey is making required reforms fastidiously and we think these reforms are necessary for Turkey," Pranckevicius told members of Chamber of Commerce & Industry in Mediterranean province of Antalya (ATSO).
On the other hand, Pranckevicius said 70,000 Lithuanians preferred Turkey as a tourist destination in 2007, and the number of Lithuanians visiting Antalya was 48,000.
"150 Lithuanians have bought a summer house in and around Antalya. I hope our relations will further improve," he told.
