ANKARA - Turkish State Minister Mustafa Said Yazicioglu received Rafet Husovic, chairman of Bosnian Party in Montenegro, as well as Montenegro Mufti Rifat Feyzic in Ankara on Thursday.
Husovic said that Montenegro newly gained its independence, adding that they are expecting Turkey to open an embassy in Montenegro in April.
Noting that 20 percent of the population in Montenegro is Bosnian Muslims, Husovic said that they want to frequently meet Turkish delegations which visit Montenegro, and boost cooperation.
On the other hand, Montenegro Mufti Feyzic expressed pleasure over activities of Turkish International Cooperation & Development Agency (TIKA) in their region, adding that they want to further increase cooperation.
Meanwhile, Yazicioglu said that Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan attaches great importance to Balkans, adding that Turkish government is doing its best to meet the needs of the region.
Yazicioglu said that TIKA is active in the region on the areas such as education, health, water and water hygiene.
