BAGHDAD/ANKARA - Murat Ozcelik, Turkey`s special representative for Iraq, is in Iraqi capital of Baghdad on Thursday to hold talks with Iraqi authorities.
According to diplomatic sources, Ozcelik is expected to be welcomed on high-level in the Iraqi capital, and debate technical issues concerning the two countries.
Bilateral relations, fight against terrorism, developments after Iraqi President Jalal Talabani`s visit to Ankara, and the initiatives of Turkey to open a consulate in Basra are expected to be the main topics Ozcelik will discuss in his talks with Iraqi executives.
This is Ozcelik`s first visit to Baghdad since he was appointed to this position. Murat Ozcelik will stay in the Iraqi capital for a few days, sources said.
