ANKARA - Turkish Central Bank said Thursday its foreign exchange reserves rose to 76.5 billion USD on March 14th.
The reserves were 74.9 billion USD on March 7th.
In its weekly bulletin, the Central Bank indicated its total gross reserves (foreign currency plus gold) rose to 120.8 billion USD on March 7th. Of that, 42.8 billion USD was from privately owned companies, including commercial banks while the Central Bank held the rest.
On the other hand, Turkey repaid 2.3 billion USD of foreign debt between March 3rd and 19th.
Turkey paid back 19.3 billion USD of foreign debt in 2007.
