38 Countries To Attend 14th Marble International Fair In Izmir

IZMIR - The 14th MARBLE International Natural Stone and Technology Fair which will open in Turkish western province of Izmir on March 26th will host 1,097 firms from 38 countries.
IZFAS Director General Dogan Isleyen told reporters on Thursday that MARBLE is the second most important natural stone fair of the world behind Verona in Italy.
Isleyen said companies` interest in MARBLE fair is very high, and they could not respond to participation demands of nearly 300 companies.
He noted that MARBLE has become the biggest export fair of Turkey. We are expecting visitors from 80 countries, he added.
Isleyen said MARBLE fair will contribute 75 million USD to the economy of Izmir this year.
A total of 38 companies had attended last year`s MARBLE fair which hosted 49,578 visitors.
The 14th MARBLE International Natural Stone and Technology Fair will end on March 29th.
