ANKARA - Turkish Culture & Tourism Minister Ertugrul Gunay said Thursday in his recent remarks regarding the closure case filed against Justice and Development (AK) Party, he only tried to explain that such a legal interference was a misfortune for Turkey when everything went quite well for the country.
Replying to questions on the closure case, Gunay said, "I said that we should not follow artificial agendas when there are other matters Turkey has to deal with. We should try to focus on necessary issues."
"I mentioned that we should protect our democracy and we should not deal with unfortunate discussions. I said it was a loss of time for Turkey and a drift from the agenda. I still say that," Gunay added.
