Roth On Upcoming Talat - Christofias Meeting

LEFKOSA - Claudia Roth, co-chairperson of the German Green Party, said Thursday European countries would set their eyes on a meeting to take place between President Mehmet Ali Talat of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) and Greek Cypriot leader Demetris Christofias on Friday.
Roth and an accompanying delegation, who arrived in TRNC upon invitation by TRNC Parliament Speaker Fatma Ekenoglu, have departed from the country Thursday morning.
Prior to her departure from Ercan Airport, Roth told reporters that she was optimistic about the upcoming meeting of the leaders and she thought it might open a window of opportunity.
During her stay in TRNC, Roth was received by Talat, Ekenoglu and Turkish Cypriot Prime Minister Ferdi Sabit Soyer.
Roth also visited Lokmaci Gate and Pile village on Wednesday.
