AMSTERDAM - Turkish Transportation Minister Binali Yildirim, representing Turkey in the European Union (EU) Transportation Ministers meeting in Amsterdam, said on Friday that Turkey took necessary security measures in aviation field.
Yildirim stressed that Turkey also decided to make new and significant investments in aviation field.
Not only EU countries but also all European countries should cooperate in aviation sector, he stated.
On the other hand, Yildirim had some tete-a-tete meetings with transportation ministers of some countries during his visit to the Netherlands.
Yildirim had a meeting with EU Commissioner for Transport and Energy Loyola de Palacio.
Stating that Palacio would pay a visit to Turkey on Wednesday, Yildirim added that they would have opportunity to discuss issues in detail during Palacio's visit to Turkey.
