Basoglu Resigns As Chp Parliamentarian

ANKARA - Atilla Basoglu, a deputy of the Republican People's Party (CHP) from Adana province, resigned as CHP parliamentarian on Friday.
After his resignation, number of CHP seats in the parliament dropped to 171 while number of independent parliamentarians rose to 8. Most recent distribution of seats in the Turkish parliament is as follows:

Justice and Development Party (AK Party): 367
Republican People's Party (CHP) : 171
True Path Party (DYP) : 4
Independent : 8
