GAZIANTEP - The bond between Turkey and Syria gained a different dimension with an improvement in social, cultural and commercial relations, Gaziantep Governor Suleyman Kamci said on Wednesday.
A ceremony took place on occasion of opening of Arabic Language Education Center at Gaziantep University (GAZU) within the scope of Turkey-Syria Interregional Cooperation Programme.
GAZU Rector Prof. Erhan Ekinci said several projects have been under way between GAZU and Aleppo University.
On the other hand, Turkey-Syria Trade Office opened with another ceremony in Gaziantep within the scope of the same programme.
Mehmet Aslan, executive board chairman of Gaziantep Chamber of Trade (GTO), said Aleppo Chamber of Trade would also open a similar office and these offices would serve to boost cooperation between Turkish and Syrian businessmen.
