MERSIN - Mersin will host Turkish and foreign musicians during the 7th International Music Festival between May 22nd and June 2nd.
Mersin Governor Huseyin Aksoy told a press briefing on Wednesday that people from different cultures and religions have been living in the city peacefully.
The festival would contribute to cultural features of the city, Aksoy stated.
Latvian soprano Marina Rebeka and tenor Aldo Di Toro will took the stage with Bilkent Symphony Orchestra at Culture Center on May 23rd.
"Los Vivancos" dance group comprising 7 brothers from Spain will perform in Mersin on May 25th within the scope of the festival.
Violist Esra Pehlivanli and German accordionist Marko Kassl will give a concert at the Culture Center on May 26th.
Azer Zeynalov, Sahlar Quliyev, Zemfira Ismayilova from Baku Opera and pianist Melahat Ismayilova will give two concerts in the city on May 28th and 29th.
String Inspirations Quintet group consisting of 5 musicians and two dancers will perform on May 31st.
The festival will end with the concert of German Leipzig String Quartet on June 2nd.
