CANAKKALE - Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Tuesday that nearly 8.5 quadrillion TL was invested in Turkey`s eastern and south-eastern regions during the last 5 years.
Erdogan attended a dinner held in his honor in north-western province of Canakkale.
Delivering a speech at the dinner hosted by Justice and Development (AK) Party`s Canakkale chapter, Erdogan said an unprecedented fight was being carried out against terrorism currently.
He said the fight against terrorism did not have a military aspect solely, but it also had political, diplomatic, socio-economical,cultural and psychological aspects.
Commenting on the rise in national income as well, Erdogan said Turkey`s national income rose up to 489 billion USD from 181 billion USD.
"Turkey`s exports increased to 107 billion USD from 36 billion USD," he added.
