ANKARA/KONYA - Turkish security teams intercepted a total of 110 illegal migrants during separate operations waged in northwestern province of Edirne, central Anatolian province of Konya and eastern provinces of Igdir and Mus on Monday and Tuesday.
The illegal migrants were of Iraqi, Georgian, Palestinian, Azerbaijani, Iranian, Pakistani, Afghan and Mauritanian origin.
They will be deported following the completion of legal proceedings, sources said.
Meanwhile, security forces arrested 5 people in connection with human trafficking during the operations.
