Chinese Ambassador Guoxiang In Istanbul

ISTANBUL - Chinese ambassador in Ankara Sun Guoxiang attended Tuesday a meeting aiming to promote the "2008 Olympic Games" to take place in Chinese capital of Beijing in August.
Delivering a speech at the meeting in Istanbul, Guoxiang briefed the participants on the developments regarding the upcoming Olympic Games.
Guoxiang said the Olympic Games in Beijing would be an opportunity for Turkish people to understand China.
Guoxiang also said that the "Olympic Torch Run" will take place in Istanbul on April 3rd.
"Thanks to such race, Chinese people will see the natural beauties and bright culture of Istanbul and they will understand Turkey better," Guoxiang added.
