Azerbaijani Justice Minister In Istanbul

ISTANBUL - Azerbaijani Justice Minister Fikret Mamedov, who is in Turkey for an official visit, met Istanbul Chief Prosecutor Aykut Cengiz Engin on Thursday.
Mr. Mamedov, who is the guest of Turkish Justice Minister Cemil Cicek, also held meetings in Ankara which were aiming to enhance cooperation between Turkey and Azerbaijan, on judicial matters.
Mamedov stressed that both Turkey and Azerbaijan had been trying to further democratization process in their respective countries and, in this respect, had recently adopted a number of laws.
''Turkey had helped Azerbaijan in many fields so far'', Mamedov said and added that good relations between the two countries were in the interest of both Turkey and Azerbaijan.
