U.S. Ambassador Expresses Hope For Solution Of Issue Immediately

ANKARA - U.S. Ambassador in Ankara Ross Wilson said regarding the closure case against Justice & Development (AK) Party that he hopes the issue will be solved immediately.
Wilson, who attended national day reception of Ireland in Ankara, made emphasis on democracy.
Noting that democracy is on top of the values of the United States, Wilson said that the path of democracy passes through ballot boxes regarding political parties issue.
He expressed hope that the issue will be solved rapidly and then Turkey will focus on other issues in its region.
Commenting on U.S. Vice President Dick Cheney`s upcoming visit to Turkey, Wilson said that Iran`s nuclear program, Iraq and fight against terrorism will be discussed during the visit.
